Crust Pizza Delivers Impressive Growth

23 May 2012

Crust Gourmet Group is currently planning to showcase at the upcoming Perth Franchising Expo due to the number of opportunities and benefits the show's market presents for new franchisees.

"Perth is the fastest growing market in Australia with the highest potential for growth," says Crust Gourmet Group’s Franchise Development Manager, Adrian Gallace. "Although Perth has far less stores than the eastern states, surprisingly it is performing at the same level, which means there is considerable room to grow."

As a whole (all stores), Crust Gourmet Group has already created around 100 jobs since August 2010. In June, they plan to employ a further 12 staff as part of the slice concept store opening in City Square.

The benefits of joining the Crust Gourmet Group start with Crust’s commitment to gourmet products that are fresh, innovative and healthy. Additionally, the Crust network is set up in such a way that allows franchisees to control their own territory and potentially become a multiunit operation.

At the expo, the Crust stall will highlight even more benefits of being a part of the fastest growing gourmet pizza franchise network in Australia.

"The training and support that Crust franchisees receive is second to none. Crust offers new franchisees an intensive two-week training course, where new franchisees work with the national training manager to gain a complete understanding of operations including bookkeeping, food safety, OH&S and staff management.

"Also, new franchisees will receive ongoing training with a minimum of 100 in-store hours with some of our most experienced franchisees."

Another great way that Crust HQ supports franchisees is by providing field support: a function that sees all new stores allocated a dedicated Support Area Manager (SAM) to guide them through the first two weeks of trade prior to their store opening.

"Post-launch, franchisees have regular contact with their SAM to ensure they’re on top of all operating issues. Franchisees also receive regular visits and feedback from their SAM as well as extensive quarterly business performance, improvement and marketing analysis reviews."

Mr Gallace says it's important that prospective franchisees know what they're looking for when seeking a new business opportunity.

"Make sure you get into something that you will really enjoy – an organisation with a great business model, exclusivity of territories and a business that is still on the way up. Also ensure the organisation has great systems in place in terms of support and training."
